What makes Al-Hada different from the rest of Taif — and what that means in practice for anyone considering land here.
Al-Hada sits in Taif Governorate, within the Makkah Region, on a mountain escarpment more than 2,000 metres above sea level. That elevation alone explains most of what sets the area apart: the climate, the views, the summer-resort character, and even the shape of the roads that lead to it.
| Elevation | over 2,000 m above sea level |
|---|---|
| Temperature | 10 – 25 °C |
| Rainfall | about 280 mm a year |
The difference in climate between Al-Hada and the land around it is tangible, and it is the main reason the area became a well-known summer destination across the region rather than simply a residential extension of Taif.
In a mountain area the number that matters is driving time, not the straight-line distance. The figures below are measured on the actual road network:
| Destination | Distance | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Makkah Grand Mosque | about 70 km | under an hour |
| Al-Hada Armed Forces Hospital | 8.6 km | 14 min |
| Al-Hada police station | 5.0 km | 8 min |
| Local produce market | 3.9 km | 7 min |
| Fuel station | 4.0 km | 10 min |
| Al-Hada cable car | 19.5 km | 21 min |
| Al-Jabal Al-Akhdar park | 10.7 km | 14 min |
| Al-Karr resort | 24.5 km | 30 min |
The distances are measured from the Masharif Al-Hada development across the road network, and the route to each facility is drawn on the interactive map.
The Al-Karr – Al-Hada road (route 15) runs through the area and is the artery that links Al-Hada to Taif on one side and to Makkah on the other. Residential developments in the area connect to it through side roads; in the case of Masharif Al-Hada the access road is about 2.3 km long.
Three motives come up again and again: the climate and the mountain views, for a summer or a year-round home; the proximity to the Makkah Grand Mosque, under an hour by car; and the tourist character of the area, which gives property here more than one possible use. On the other side of the ledger, the mountain roads and the travel time to services deserve a clear look — which is why they are set out in numbers above.
A residential development in the heart of the area: 84 plots across 48,000 m², regular streets and a range of plot sizes. The land is developed and each plot carries its own independent title deed. Prices start from SAR 400,000.
